A JAMES Bond lookalike gave customers a licence to shop as he declared Asda's new lifestyle store on Broughton Shopping Park open.
Dressed in a tuxedo and with a vodka martini – shaken not stirred – in hand, Stephen Wright cut the ribbon at the £1.7million, 30,000 sq ft Asda Living store.
Bosses launched a competition to find a 007 lookalike to open the store, which has created 100 jobs, to coincide with the latest Bond release Quantum Of Solace. Store manager Ray Nicholls said: "We wanted to provide our customers with a sophisticated opening day. "We couldn't get Daniel Craig himself, but we had the next best thing.
"Colleagues were really excited about the day's events, especially our Bond girl and Bond villain! "We have had a great response from the local community and we are very grateful for the support over the last few months."
